From Thursday to Sunday at 23.59, the disturbing protagonists will animate the darkness of Cinema Troisi: “Dracula” with Bela Lugosi, “The Mummy,” “Frankenstein,” and one of the greatest sequels of all time, “Bride of Frankenstein.” And yet, “The Invisible Man” and “The Phantom of the Opera” with revolutionary make-up, “The Wolf Man,” and “Creature from the Black Lagoon,” all strictly in the original language with Italian subtitles!
The films, produced between 1923 and 1956 by Universal Pictures and inspired or often directly adapted from the great classics of gothic and horror literature, contributed to making “monsters” part of the collective imagination and veritable cornerstones of the horror science-fiction genre.
