The first study room in Italy open to all, free of charge, and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with ultra-fast Wi-Fi
The Study Room is one of the standout features of Cinema Troisi: a 150-square-metre space equipped with every modern comfort, offering 45 indoor workstations (expanding to 80 with the addition of the terrace). It is open – the first and only facility of its kind in Italy – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and provides free Wi-Fi at 1 Gbps upload and download speeds, supported by DiscoLazio.
The space has been designed to ensure full accessibility, including access to the terrace. The indoor workstations feature ergonomic chairs, books, DVDs, and 10 free-to-use laptops. The air conditioning system meets all current regulations and complies with UNI 10339 and UNI 13779 standards, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for those studying inside.
The Study Room is expected to generate a social and environmental impact worth approximately €1.6 million. This estimate, made by Professor Luigi Corvo of Open Impact (a research spin-off from the University of Rome Tor Vergata), takes into account the various impacts of the project (social, economic, and environmental) over the next 10 years. Notably, it is estimated to save 30 tonnes of CO2 annually, thanks to the green energy partner Iberdrola, and will reduce public management costs by 70%.
